About Me
I am Chrisie Allemand…athletic competitor, Registered Dietitian, Certified Personal Trainer and fitness fanatic.
I would like to give you a glimpse into my world, as I live it. I’d like to start at the beginning and give you some background in what fuels my passion.
Through Thick and Thin
I grew up in the “Dirty South” in a small town forty-five miles southwest of New Orleans, Louisiana. Great tasting food was a way of life on the bayou and fitness was something you only heard about in physical education classes. Family functions were centered on food - the more fattening and spicy, the better! Growing up, I watched the circumference of most people around me continually expand year after year. Many of my friends and loved ones struggled with being overweight or obese and I didn’t know how to help them.
The Awakening
During my adolescence, I was a competitive gymnast, although one of the “huskier” kids on the team. My coach told me to lose a few pounds, but never told me how to do it…so I didn’t. Later, I left for college and stopped training, and found my own waistline expanding at a rapid rate. I felt miserable. I wanted to know more about exercise and health, so I enrolled in nutrition and weight lifting classes. At that point, my life changed forever.
Through college, I studied Exercise and Health Education and a great thing happened: I became motivated to improve my quality of life and inspired to help others do the same.
The Missing Piece
After college, I landed a job in the health field and began working for a corporate wellness company. I was surrounded by the best fitness professionals in the business, but I began to realize the missing piece to getting results and seeing physical change is how we eat. During that same year, my father was diagnosed with diabetes, one of his sisters was advised by her doctor to have a gastric bypass, and his other sister had a heart attack. Those incidents changed me, and my passion became learning about disease prevention and the healing power of food. So, back to school I went to refocus my studies on nutrition.
Carving the Future
After earning my second degree in Human Nutrition and Food, I came to Florida and began working as a health educator for a nutraceutical company, which allowed me to expand my knowledge of supplements. At the same time, I began working as a personal trainer at BB3 Training Center in Weston, Florida, a state-of-the-art performance enhancement facility. Feeding off the passion and inspiration of the trainers at BB3, I decided to rewrite my future in the fitness industry. There I began training for The Women’s Tri-Fitness Ultimate Challenge and in 2009, I took the championship title. In the same year, I completed a dietetic internship with the Florida Department of Health and passed the Registered Dietitian Examination.
I’ve set some lofty goals for myself, some of which I have already achieved and others that I am still working on. I hope to share my journey and my knowledge with other individuals in the fitness and wellness industry, helping them to stay motivated and striving for a better quality of life.

Fuel your body for peak performance. Eat in moderation and focus on cellular health. Don't neglect mental training. The six inch playing field between your ears will negate or escalate your results. |
